Rays Zimmer to undergo back surgery, return TBA

AUGUST 29, 2009

Don Zimmer, the Rays legendary senior advisor, will be sidelined indefinitely as he undergoes back surgery next week for decompression of a nerve. The surgery will be performed Wednesday by Dr. Tom Tolli.
