Minor-leaguer suspended 50 games for drug violation

OF Waldo Rosario, a member of the Rays Dominican Summer League team, was suspended the first 50 games of next season after testing positive for the performance-enhancing drug Stanozolol.

Rosario, 18, signed with the Rays last July and just completed his first pro season, hitting .258 with no homers and 17 RBIs in 47 games for the DSL Rays.
