Rays set to officially unveil 20th anniversary logo, promotions, other plans

The Rays this morning will officially reveal the 20th anniversary logo expected to be used as a patch on their uniforms, and other promotions, events and plans to celebrate the occasion.

Principal owner Stuart Sternberg will be on hand for the 10:30 a.m. announcement at Tropicana Field, along with team president Brian Auld, VP of Strategy and Development Bill Walsh, VP of Marketing and Creative Services Eric Weisberg and Special Assistant, Baseball Operations Tom Foley.

The Rays provided an early look at the logo on Monday when they posted one of several banners saluting key players outside the rotunda entrance to the Trop. Several others, including other players, are hanging elsewhere inside.

Today's reveal sets the Rays up to be able to sell some of the 20th anniversary merchandise at the team's annual FanFest, slated for Saturday from 11-4 at the Trop.

The Rays today also will provide a preview of what to expect from new stadium concessionaire and retail partner Levy.
