No rain in the forecast today for the Rays. Just sunny skies and those Red Sox, who are making the ride up I-75 for the 1:05 p.m. start at Charlotte Sports Park.

The Rays are running out a lineup that could be used often during the regular season. The Red Sox have a number of their regulars in the lineup, so it will be a good test for LHP Ryan Yarbrough, who is making the start and competing for a spot in the bullpen.

LHP Jonny Venters is making the first of his back-to-back appearances, which is a first during his return from Tommy John surgery.

It's a big hurdle, Venters said this morning, and one he is looking forward to completing.

Sergio Romo will also work in relief today.
