It may not be much of a job market outside of the Tampa Bay area, but RHP Ryne Stanek seems to be getting this game opener thing down. He came out throwing 96 mph and throwing strikes and retired all six Toronto batters he faced.

Rookie dynamic duo SS Willy Adames and 1B Jake Bauers on Monday did their part at the plate. Tuesday, they showed off in the field. Adames made a spinning 360-degree play on a grounder in the seventh, then Bauers followed with a dazzling diving stop.

C Wilson Ramos is making an impressive case for another return to Washington, this time with the American League All-Star team. The former National leads all AL catchers with 58 hits, has eight homers and 32 RBIs, and is sporting a solid .285 average.
