When the Rays have the offense rolling as over the last couple nights, they show the different ways they can attack, whether blasting home runs, driving balls in the gap, combining base hits and aggressive baserunning and dropping bunts.

C Nick Ciuffo has made a pretty first good first impression with the steadiness of his glove and the pop in his bat. Saturday he showed two more features, a strong arm and some hustle, backing up a fifth-inning play at first and throwing out Joey Rickard at second.

Typically consistent LHP Ryan Yarbrough had a rare off night, working into a fourth inning behind opener RHP Diego Castillo but not nearly as sharp as he had been, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks.
