Archer feels "normal," Moore encouraged

Two Rays starters had good experiences playing catch Friday afternoon.

RHP Chris Archer said he played catch with no issues from the tightness in his right forearm that forced him from Wednesday's game and is on track to make his next start as scheduled on Tuesday.

"Everything felt nornal,'' Archer said.

He will throw a bullpen session on Saturday, and will be cleared assuming that goes well. ...

LHP Matt Moore played catch at a distance of 100 feet and said his left elbow felt good, and he expects to throw off the mound for the first time on Sunday, hoping to throw another bullpen Tuesday or Wednesday and then be cleared to rejoin the rotation.

"It's pretty encouraging,'' he said.
