Bullpen coach Ramos still out
Bullpen coach Bobby Ramos will miss his fourth straight game tonight due to an undetermined illness that has left him lethargic.
Ramos, 55, underwent a series of tests the last few days to determine the cause of his illness. At first, it seemed he was suffering from the same stomach flu that had been going through the clubhouse, but he has not felt better and flew home from Baltimore on Sunday.
"He's not feeling well,'' manager Joe Maddon said. "He just doesn't have any energy. So they're doing some tests. He's hurting a little bit right now. He's lethargic and tired, if you can imagine him being lethargic and tired.''
Maddon said the medical staff does not consider it to be anything serious.
Stan Boroski, assistant to the pitching coach, has been filling in for Ramos, who is typically one of the loosest and loudest Rays in uniform.
