Canzler, De La Rosa coming up
UPDATE, 6:15: It doesn't sound like Canzler or De La Rosa will see much action, more that they are being rewarded for their solid seasons. Maddon did note that Canzler can hit a fastball well, so maybe he could be used as a pinch-hitter or DH, though he needs work on his defense. ... Maddon suggested the Rays are likely to make at least one more addition, as they'll need a starter after the Sept. 21 doubleheader in New York, and that it could come down to either LHP Alex Torres or Matt Moore. He said the decision had not been made, but acknowledged Moore, the highly touted prospect, was "a possibility.''
DEVELOPING: The Rays will call up INF/OF Russ Canzler and RHP Dane De La Rosa on Sunday. Canzler was named MVP of the International League for his season at Triple-A Durham. This will be his first stint in the majors and the Rays will have to make a corresponding move to make room on the 40-man roster. De La Rosa was up briefly earlier this season.
