Carl Crawford ejected in ninth inning
Rays leftfielder Carl Crawford was ejected in the ninth inning of Monday's game with the Yankees for arguing a third strike call by home plate umpire Tom Hallion.
Crawford, leading off the ninth against Yankees reliever Kerry Wood, was called out on strikes on a pitch low in the zone. A frustrated Crawford started arguing with Hallion and was soon ejected, before manager Joe Maddon could come out.
Sean Rodriguez moved from second to leftfield to replace Crawford. Reid Brignac entered the game at second.
