Carl Crawford picks up his 400th career steal
Rays leftfielder Carl Crawford just racked up his 400th career stolen base - and received a standing ovation - in the first inning against the Yankees.
Crawford, who becomes just the seventh player in the modern era to complete the feat, stole second despite a pitch out from Yankees starter Javier Vazquez and a good throw by catcher Francisco Cervelli.
Crawford is also one triple shy of 100 for his career. If he gets it before Thursday, Crawford will become just the second player in the modern era (Ty Cobb) to have 400 steals and 100 triples before his 29th birthday.
