Crawford: Not much improvement in left shoulder

Rays LF Carl Crawford said his left shoulder is still sore, "same as it was yesterday," and he hasn't even started stretching it yet.

Crawford said he may only be able to pinch run today, and isn't sure when he'll try throwing, possibly Saturday.

"Just going to treat it today and hope it feels better by tommorrow," he said.

Crawford said he first feel the strain in Wednesday's game while trying to throw home. He tried to do everything he could to play, but his warmups with B.J. Upton before Thursday's game were telling.

"When I warmed up with B.J. it was so difficult just to play catch, and it was at a short distance," Crawford said. "So it wasn't good."

Crawford said he hasn't undergone any tests like MRIs or x-rays.

"I hope we don't have to get to that," he said.
