David Price sets club record with 15th win

With a win Monday over the Tigers, LHP David Price set a Rays club record with his 15th victory of the season.

Price gave up just two runs over five innings, striking out nine in Tampa Bay's 6-3 win at Comerica Park. In completing the feat, Price passed James Shields (2008), Edwin Jackson (2008) and Rolando Arrojo (1998), who eached won 14 games in those seasons.

“It’s awesome,” Price said. “It’s a great honor. It’s a lot of hard work, and it’s been fun. But I don’t plan on stopping at 15.”
