Day after ...
Both Dioner Navarro and B.J. Upton are in the Rays clubhouse but not in the lineup for Saturday's game.
Navarro said he doesn't remember much about Friday's incident, when he was hit in the throat by a pitch. "All I remember was that it was hard for me to breathe. I needed to calm down by I couldn't,'' Navarro said. "It was a scary moment.''
Navarro returned to the team hotel around 2 a.m. after being evaluated at Broward General Hospital. He said he will be seen by a doctor again today and doesn't know when he will be able to next play. "We're taking it day by day,'' he said.
Upton, who had to be helped off the field with a strained left quad, hopes to only be out a few days.
