De La Rosa called up from Durham
RHP Dane De La Rosa has been called up from Triple-A Durham to take RHP Josh Lueke's place in the bullpen and is expected to join the Rays for Saturday's game.
De La Rosa, 29, made his big-league debut last season, working in seven games over two stints with the Rays, posting a 9.82 ERA.
In four games at Durham this season, De La Rosa had a 9.00 ERA, allowing four earned runs in four innings.
He was chosen over RHP Brandon Gomes and LHPs Cesar Ramos and John Gaub likely because he has the ability to work multiple innings.
