FanFest a hit: 25,000 fans, $100K for charity

Saturday's FanFest proved to be quite a success, with the Rays saying they drew more than 25,000 fans and raised more than $100,000 for charities, including the Rays Baseball Foundation, the families of slain St. Petersburg police officers Sergeant Thomas Baitinger and K-9 Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz, the ALS Association and the Salvation Army Centers in St. Petersburg, Tampa and Bradenton. More than 60 Rays players and coaches participated. Manager Joe Maddon's Thanksmas-style luncheon sold out 395 tickets, raising $10,000 for the Salvation Army.
