Game-day live: Rays vs Pirates
The Rays picked up another walkoff win, 4-3 over the Pirates. Fernando Perez hit an RBI single to win it.
The Rays overcame a two-run deficit in the bottom of the eighth, thanks to an RBI double by Matt Joyce and a game-tying single by Sean Rodriguez.
Rays right-hander Matt Garza had an impressive outing, throwing three scoreless innings, giving up three hits but striking out five and walking none.
The game included touted prospect Desmond Jennings making his first spring start in rightfield. His day was rather uneventful, other than his second inning single.
Update 3:56 p.m. The Rays tied it up in the bottom of the eighth, and it's little surprise that Sean Rodriguez was in the middle of it.
Rodriguez hit an RBI single to make it 3-3. J.J. Furmaniak started the rally with a one-out single, and Matt Joyce doubled him in.
Rays 3, Pirates 3 (bottom ninth).
Update 3:30 p.m. The Pirates pulled ahead in the seventh, with Brian Friday hitting a two-run homer off Jeff Bennett.

Update 3:09 p.m. Both teams threatened in the sixth, but came up empty. The Rays put a runner on third (thanks to a B.J. Upton double), but with two outs, Jennings popped up to second base.
OF Matt Joyce is now in rightfield.
Rays 1, Pirates 1 (top seventh).
Update 2:42 p.m. The Pirates tied the game with a run in the top of the fourth.
Pirates CF Jose Tabata ripped a liner to right-center, which Desmond Jennings chased, but couldn't get to and it rolled to the wall for a triple. Pedro Alvarez knocked him in with an infield single.

Update 2:19 p.m. RHP Matt Garza's day is over, and he pitched well in three scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and striking out five.
The Rays still lead 1-0, but have stranded runners in scoring position in two of the last three innings.
RHP Lance Cormier has relieved Garza.
Update 2:00 p.m. OF Desmond Jennings singled on the first pitch he saw in the second inning, but then got caught stealing second.

Update 1:38 p.m. The Rays scored a run in the first, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Ben Zobrist. Evan Longoria had a hit, and both Jason Bartlett and Pat Burrell had a walk.

Update 1:24 p.m. RHP Matt Garza looked sharp in his first inning of work; though he gave up a single, he struck out the side.

Some things to watch will be touted prospect OF Desmond Jennings, who is starting in rightfield. It's an interesting - and extremely athletic - outfield with CF B.J. Upton and LF Carl Crawford.
