Gameday live: Rays at Phillies
UPDATE, 4:10: Maddon and Garza were both pleased with his work. Maddon wasn't happy that the Rays missed several signs during their 9th-inning rally to tie.
UPDATE, 3:45: Phillies rally for 4-3 win off Grant Balfour, losing on a sac fly over the five-man infield.
UPDATE, 3:40 Rays tie it 3-3 in 9th.
UPDATE, 2:53: Garza's line isn't particularly pretty - 5 2/3 IP, 7 H, 3 R/ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 3 HRs.
UPDATE, 2:50: Garza is done after Werth followed with a long drive to right-center (run down well by Elliot Johnson). Joaquin Benoit is in.
UPDATE, 2:48: It's not tied anymore as Ryan Howard takes Garza deep again, this time to center.
UPDATE, 2:43: Garza came out to pitch the sixth, some of the players behind him are different as Longoria and Pena are out of the game.
UPDATE, 2:35: The Rays tie it 2-2 and chase Blanton in the sixth as minor-league C Nevin Ashley reaches on a single, Matt Joyce doubles and Evan Longoria knocks them both in with a double to right-center.
UPDATE, 2:10: Ryan Howard found a Garza pitch to his liking, and knocked it over the rightfield fence. Two batters later, Shane Victorino did the same so it's 2-0 now in the fourth.
UPDATE, 1:55: Matt Garza has allowed three hits, but no runs as it's 0-0 after three innings.
UPDATE, 1:31: Okay, here's the story - Furmaniak led off to start the game and hurt his left heel running to first, so Dillion replaced Furmaniak (who was replacing Rodriguez), though Dillon is at second and Brignac slid over to SS.
UPDATE, 1:26: Pat Burrell gets a nice hand from the Phillies fans - and then grounds out to short, dropping his average to .194.
UPDATE, 1:20: Actually Joe Dillon is playing second and Reid Brignac is at short so there was some miscommunication about the lineup change.
UPDATE, 1:14: Rays go down quickly in the first. Late lineup change - Sean Rodriguez wasn't feeling well so JJ Furmaniak started at SS.
DEVELOPING: Underway here on a picturesque Clearwater day at the best spring park in Florida - Brighthouse Field.
