Gameday report: Rays vs Red Sox



Update, 11:30: Injury updates pretty much status quo from last night, with Maddon saying he expects Aybar and Navarro (who are both playing today) to be fine for Tuesday's opener, and Joyce unlikely but not officially out. Should be official word postgame that Niemann is the #3 starter and Price #4.


Update 10:47 a.m. INF Dan Johnson has accepted  his outright assignment to Triple-A Durham.

Update 9:38 a.m. The Red Sox didn't bring a ton of their regulars today, here's their lineup:

The Rays will host the Red Sox today, coming off tying their spring club record with their 18th win last night in Fort Myers.

C Dioner Navarro will start behind the plate, showing he's recovering from the bruised nerve in his left shin. RHP Joaquin Benoit, a candidate for the final bullpen spot, will start the game, as LHP David Price will pitch in a minor league game in Fort Myers.
