Garza on new home: It's cold
Matt Garza was in Chicago Friday for the opening of the annual Cubs convention, and here is the former Rays starter's take on his new home, text and photo courtesy of the Chicago Tribune: "I know one thing for sure, it's cold."
Garza also made mention of the expected difference in attendance in going from the Rays to the Cubs.
"I'm looking forward to playing in front of a packed house,'' he said, according to mlb.com.
Fomer Ray and new Cub Carlos Pena was also there, and optimisic as always.
"I'm looking forward to this year," Pena said. "I'm very optimistic about it. It's a great opportunity and truly a blessing for me to come to Chicago. This is definitely my favorite city. When I used to play for Detroit, we used to come here and I said this city was my favorite. I'm very happy to be here."
