Gomes optioned back to Durham
Reliever Brandon Gomes was optioned back to Triple-A Durham after Sunday's game, his services not needed given Matt Moore's strong effort.
The Rays will announce the corresponding move either Monday or Tuesday, with the expectation that OF Sam Fuld will be activated from the DL as he completes his rehab assignment, having undergone right wrist surgery in the spring.
