Hellickson "pretty normal,' in line to start Saturday
Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson said he felt fine - "pretty normal" - the day after being hit on the left side of the head by a Delmon Young home run ball during batting practice and is in line to make his next start as scheduled on Saturday.
Hellickson said he is fully ready to pitch and manager Joe Maddon said the Rays were planning on him doing so, assuming there are no issues with his follow-up concussion testing on Thursday.
"It's looking pretty good right now,'' Maddon said. "He's looking pretty normal, speaking normal, I think he's going to be okay.''
