History shows the Rays have a chance

The Rays start play today 2 1/2 games back with seven to play. Research by the team shows seven teams have overcome that large a deficit with that little time left and made it to the postseason:

2009 Twins         3.0 out with 5 left and caught the Tigers
2007 Phillies      2.5 out with 6 left and caught the Mets
2004 Astros        2.5 out with 7 to play and caught the Cubs
1987 Tigers         2.5 out with 7 left and caught the Blue Jays
1962 Giants        4.0 out with 7 left and caught the Dodgers
1951 Giants        3.0 out with 7 left and caught the Dodgers
1934 Cardinals   2.5 out with 6 left and caught the NY Giants
