Keppinger day-to-day with bruised left triceps

Update 4:55 p.m. The Rays say Keppinger is day-to-day with a bruised left triceps, and x-rays were negative.

Developing: The injury woes could be continuing for the Rays.

Infielder Jeff Keppinger was replaced by Brooks Conrad at third base to begin the third inning. Keppinger had been hit by a David Phelps pitch just above the elbow in the first inning.

Keppinger has been hitting really well, racking up seven RBI in 10 games since coming off the DL June 23 (broken right toe).

We'll keep you posted with updates as we get them...
