Keppinger gets big deal from White Sox
Free agent Jeff Keppinger's success with the Rays last season made him a hot commodity, and he cashed in Wednesday agreeing to a three-year deal with the White Sox for $12-million.
The Rays had interest in retaining Keppinger, but their chances faded as his price soared on a weak third-base market.
Keppinger, 32, hit .325 last season, with 9 homers and40 RBIs, as the Rays maximized his playing time and opportunity.
