Kotchman: It was fun while it lasted
1B Casey Kotchman, the pride of Seminole High, enjoyed his one-year stint with the Rays, which ended with Friday's deal to bring back Carlos Pena.
Kotchman, who remains on the free agent, has this to say via text message:
"I had fun playing with my AWESOME teammates at home in front of my friends and family!"
The Indians have expressed interest in Kotchman, who bounced back from a rough 2010 season in Seattle to hit .306 with 10 homers and 48 RBIs for the Rays while playing his usual top-notch defense.
