UPDATE, 7:26: It ends up being a 16-minute delay as Price throws the first pitch at 7:26. Delay was due to a power interruption caused by a lightning strike between the stadium and a Florida Power substation, according to the Rays.

UPDATE, 7:12: The Rays are now estimating a 7:25 first pitch.

UPDATE, 7:10: Officially a delay at Tropicana Field, no word yet on how long until lights are back to full power.

DEVELOPING: Six minutes before first pitch, several banks of lights went out at the Trop just as thunder boomed outside. Managers Joe Maddon and Ron Gardenhire are talking now with umpire crew chief Jerry Crawford.

A May 21, 2009, game against Oakland was delayed 19 minutes due to a power outage resulting from a nearby lightning strike.
