Longoria 1st, Crawford 2nd in All-Star voting

The All-Star game is still seven weeks away, but the early returns are good for the Rays.

Evan Longoria leads all AL third basemen with 541,243 votes, with New York's Alex Rodriguez second at 411,655.

Carl Crawford is second among outfielders with 319,953 votes, trailing always popular Ichiro Suzuki of Seattle, who has 366,903.

Among other Rays, Jason Bartlett is third among shortstop, Ben Zobrist fourth among second basemen and Carlos Pena fourth among first basemen.  Also of note, former Ray Pat Burrell is fourth among DHs, though well behind leader Vladimir Guerrero. B.J. Upton is ninth among outfielders and Dioner Navarro fifth among catchers.
