Longoria dating Playboy model Jaime Edmondson
Here's another example that Rays 3B Evan Longoria really is living the dream:
In addition to the fame and fortune he has from playing baseball for a living, Longoria confirmed Tuesday he is dating model Jaime Edmondson, who was Playboy magazine's Miss January 2010.
"Yes, we are dating,'' Longoria said. "It's been a secret for long enough; it's not really been a secret, but nobody has asked about it. We are dating.''
Edmondson, a 33-year-old former Miami Dolphins cheerleader and two-time contestant on The Amazing Race, has certainly attracted plenty of attention during her career.
But, Longoria, 26, said, "I dont even think of her like that. She's actually more informed on sports. She did a fantasy football blog the whole year, and she does a show on Sirius satellite radio. So it's pretty cool to be able to talk to somebody on that level outside of the whole modeling thing.''
Longoria and Edmondson have been seen together several times recently, and exchange a lot of Twitter messages, leading to speculation they were dating.
On Tuesday, Edmondson tweeted "Hello Port Charlotte,'' which happens to be the Rays spring training base. About the same time, Longoria made his first appearance of the spring at camp.
