Longoria expects to miss no more than a week, Maddon doesn't rule out DL

Rays 3B Evan Longoria said he expects to be out no more than a week with a sore left oblique, but manager Joe Maddon is not ruling out a stint on the 15-day DL, saying they will be cautious and will re-evaluate Longoria on Sunday. Sean Rodriguez will play third in the interim. Longoria said he felt uncomfortable in the batting cage early Saturday afternoon and probably shouldn't have played, and it got worse as the night went on.
