Longoria's latest "honor" - Yogi's request
One interesting pre-game moment here in Tampa - Yankees legend Yogi Berra asking Rays 3B Evan Longoria to sign a ball for him.
Then Berra told Rays manager Joe Maddon that Longoria "reminds him of Joe DiMaggio a bit.''
Longoria was predictably flattered, and said Yogi - who he has crossed paths with at several off-season events - was the highest baseball royalty who's asked him for an autograph. Outside of baseball, he said the biggest name probably was the name he often hears from fans - TV and movie star Eva Longoria
