Look who's back: Brian Shouse

The Rays have re-signed lefty reliever Brian Shouse, who pitched in 45 games for them in 2009, to a minor-league contract.

Shouse, who was released in spring training by the Red Sox, will report to the Gulf Coast League team in Port Charlotte on Tuesday, where he will first have to rehab a right knee strain before taking the mound.

He could be in position to provide depth for the bullpen down the stretch.
