MLB analyst Mitch Williams: Tampa Bay fans don't deserve World Series

MLB Network analyst Mitch Williams - the former Phillie - offered his take on the Rays attendance situation: “This team, these players, they absolutely deserve everything they’re getting. That fan base does not deserve a World Series. It does not deserve to have a World Series in their town. …It is embarrassing. …As fast as Carl Crawford is, is as fast as he’s going to run out of Tampa. He wants to go somewhere where they care about their team, the game, and in Tampa they don’t. …I feel so bad for these guys. These guys are doing it naked, alone, by themselves. They don’t have adrenaline that you draw from a crowd.” And from analyst Sean Casey, another former player: “This team is legit top to bottom. They deserve better after 155 games, about to clinch a playoff spot and you got 12,000 fans out there? That’s embarrassing. Let’s go, get out there and support these guys.”
