Navarro says he won't be out long; Joyce too
UPDATE, 8:28: OF Matt Joyce also said he took his diagnosis of an elbow strain as good news, and that he hopes to return in a few days. "It's definitely good news it's not the ligament,'' he said. "As far as we can tell it's a muscle strain, possibly a nerve, and if it's a nerve it heals even quicker.''
DEVELOPING: C Dioner Navarro said his left thumb is still sore this morning but he does not expect to miss more than a few days. He is wearing a splint on the thumb - struck by an errant pickoff throw on Thursday - but said the pain if from the knuckle to the tip and there is no ligament damage. "It's really irritated, it's really uncomfortable, but it's good news,'' Navarro said. "I'm not sitting down; if it's good enough to play, I'm playing.''
