Navi reportedly to have new home in L.A.
C Dioner Navarro, who deserted the Rays and went home after being left off the division series roster, apparently has a new home, with ESPN reporting he is close to a one-year deal with the Dodgers.
The Rays didn't tender Navarro a contract, making him a free agent, after he struggled and was sent to the minors for more than two months. The Dodgers plan to give Navarro a fair amount of playing time as the backup to Rod Barajas. The Rays obtained Navarro from the Dodgers in a 2006 trade.
