Peralta ejected for "foreign substance" on glove
Rays reliever Joel Peralta was ejected from tonight's game for having what the umpires said was "a foreign substance" on or in his glove.
Peralta entered the game to start the eighth but didn't throw a pitch as the umpires came out to check him, then took his glove and ejected him from the game.
The tip presumably came from the Washington bench, as Peralta pitched for the Nationals in 2010.
