Police: 41 ejections, 8 arrests from Game 1



ST. PETERSURG -- Forty-one people were ejected from Tropicana Field during Game 1 of the World Series,  authorities said, and eight people were arrested. According to all the arrest reports, here's some of what officers had to deal with Wednesday:

Anthony David Reyes, 27, of Lake Mary, was arrested on charges of disoderly conduct and possession of marijuana. Reyes brawled in the stands of the Trop during Game 1, according to police, who then found 20 grams of marijuana in his right front pocket.

Larry G. Portscher Jr., 36, of Naples, was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and obstruction. He is accused of throwing a beer at another fan, then trying to pull away from officers as they tried to handcuff him.

Brian Charles Gallagher, 21, of Philadelphia, was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence. According to a Pinellas sheriff's deputy, Gallagher was creating a disturbance at the game, got unruly with security staffers escorting him out, then tried to pull away from deputies as they tried to cuff him.

Brian M. Lewis, 32, of New Jersey, was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisiting arrest without violence. Deputies say he was causing a disturbance that escalated after he refused to leave the Trop, then resisted attempts to be handcuffed.

Kevin C. Siegfried, 28, of Orlando, was arrested on charges of theft of services and violation of probation. Police say he refused to pay his $25 tab at Ferg's, then became beligerent.

Michael D. Long, 52, of Wesley Chapel, was arrested on a charge of DUI. Police say he was found passed out behind the wheel of a 2008 Infiniti in the Trop parking lot around 11:08 p.m. -- before Game 1 ended.

Steven Jay Markley, 25, of Clearwater, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police say he tried to start a brawl in front of Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill this morning around 12:15 a.m.
