Ramos called up to bolster bullpen
The Rays have called up LHP Cesar Ramos to bolster their short-handed bullpen.
They had space after opening RHP Brandon Gomes to Triple-A after Saturday's loss.
Ramos was 2-1, 1.69 in 12 games at Durham. As important, he is fresh having last pitched on Thursday. Two other candidates, RHPs Alex Cobb and Dane De La Rosa, pitched Friday.
