Rays and Red Sox readying for Game 6

The Rays' lineup for Game 6 looks pretty much as normal, as manager Joe Maddon opted to stick with Gabe Gross in rightfield despite his 0-for-9 showing in the ALCS and 1-for-15 (.067) average in the postseason.

Maddon said he gave some thought to starting Rocco Baldelli but wanted to maintain their usual lineup. "I just wanted to stay with what we've been doing,'' Maddon said.

As for Gross, Maddon said: "I just think he's overthinking it right now.'' Gross worked in the cage and had a long talk with Tim Bogar, the Rays' quality assurance specialist, on Friday. "I just want him to relax and play. ... He's in the maybe mode and not turning it loose.''

The Sox did a few things different, primarily keeping Coco Crisp in the leadoff spot and Jacoby Ellsbury on the bench.
