Rays at Angels, seeking a sweep

UPDATE, 2:55: Pena is just getting a day off his feet (or, more specficially, his previously injured right foot) as a preventive measure, since he actually gets two days off this way. Same with SS Jason Bartlett, plus manager Joe Maddon was looking for a day tp get Reid Brignac into the lineup. .. .Jeff Niemann will be on a pitch count of around 90 today in his first start since coming off the DL. ... The Rays are looking for their 40th win of the season on the road, which would tie the franchise mark, and their major-league high 10th sweep of the season. ... RHP Wade Davis said he felt good playing catch this morning, better than he expected to after making his first start on Tuesday in coming off the DL. .... Also, there is word that Jeremy Hellickson will make his first relief appearance for Class A Charlotte on Thursday, scheduled for three innings.
