Rays cut Delaney and Wade, seem to set pen
The Rays further thinned their roster today, optioning RHP Rob Delaney to Triple-A and reassigning RHP Cory Wade to minor-league camp.
With those two moves, the Rays - at least for now, pending an acquisition before the April 1 opener - appear to have settled on RHP Juan Cruz and LHPs Jake McGee and Cesar Ramos for the three open spots in their bullpen. The other four are claimed by Kyle Farnsworth, Joel Peralta, Adam Russell and Andy Sonnanstine. The only other reliever left in camp is Rule 5 pick LHP Cesar Cabral, and the Rays seem more likely to trade or put him on waivers than keep him.
However, with a number of relievers likely to come available as other teams cut down there's a reasonable chance for another move.
