Rays game delayed by ... rain; restarted at 10:45
UPDATE, 10:45: J.P. Howell is on the mound as play resumes, with about 100 people in the stands. Seriously.
UPDATE, 10:23: Supposedly the re-start time is now 10:45. Uh-huh.
UPDATE, 10:20: Okay, the grounds crew is taking the tarp off again, and the rain has lightened up, so maybe they actually will resume this time.
UPDATE, 9:37: Or not - now the tarp is back on, and the grounds crew is off the field.
UPDATE, 9:25: They've just announced a restart time of 9:40, and that any of the 10,548 who stuck around can sit wherever they want.
UPDATE, 9:21: The grounds crew is taking off the tarp, so it shouldn't take too long to get going, though no players have come out yet.
DEVELOPING: The Rays game is in a rain delay, with the Orioles leading 2-1 and batting in the bottom of the eighth.
This is the third game delayed by rain on this road trip - Friday's game in Boston, started late, then was halted, delayed and postponed; Saturday's game was delayed more than two hours, then halted and after another delayed called in the sixth inning.
