Rays to host annual development camp next week
The future of the Rays will be at Tropicana Field next week, as many of their top prospects will be working out as part of the team's annual development camp.
There will be Wil Myers, the touted outfield prospect acquired in the RHP James Shields trade to the Royals, making his first appearance in a Tampa Bay uniform. There will also be several of their former first-round picks, including former No. 1 overall pick Tim Beckham, RHP Taylor Guerrieri, OF Josh Sale and 3B Richie Shaffer.
The camp, which is not open to the public, will run Monday through Thursday, with 31 players attending and working out each day, receiving media training, visiting MacDill Air Force Base, as well as making a community appearance.
