Rays INF Jeff Keppinger has right foot injury, status uncertain
The amount of weird injuries continue to pile up on the Tampa Bay Rays, with infielder Jeff Keppinger having suffered a right foot injury, and his status is uncertain.
Keppinger suffered the injury in Saturday's game, when he got hit with a foul ball - while in the Rays dugout. There's no update on how long Keppinger will be out, with news potentially coming after today's game with the Braves.
Keppinger, acquired in the offseason because of his ability to hit left-handed pitchers, is batting .295 in 29 games, including .417 against lefties.
The Rays already have nine players on the disabled list.
