Rays lose 7-3, Shields hit hard
The Rays lost again to the Red Sox, 7-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Starter James Shields was again a big part of the story, and their problem, allowing 11 hits over five innings, the fourth straight game he's allowed 10-plus. Shields streak matches the second longest in team history.
After scoring three in the first inning, the Rays didn't do much else on offense, and made a few mistakes on the bases and in the field.
With the loss, they dropped to 46-43.
