For the sixth straight year, Rays manager Joe Maddon will prepare and serve his now-traditional holiday meal at Salvation Army Shelters in St. Petersburg, Tampa and Bradenton later this month.

Maddon, who buys the food and supervises the cooking, will prepare a traditional Italian/Polish holiday feast. Rays coaches and staff help him cook and serve the meals. The even has served about 4,000 individuals in need over the last five years and also provided many with clothing and shoes. 

The event will kick off Dec. 9 with a Thanksmas fundraiser at the 717 South restaurant in Tampa (717 South Howard Street), from 5-close.  The Thanksmas meal will be served, with Rays players and coaches will be guest servers.
