Rays-Mets game resumes after delay due to umpire injury
UPDATE, 1:58: Crawford, who lives in Tierra Verde, left the game due to lower back pain. The delay lasted 14 minutes.
UPDATE, 1:55: The Rays are coming back out and the game will resume with three umpires. First-base ump Scott Barry moves behind plate, and Phil Cuzzi to first base.
NEWS: The Rays came off the field as the game is being delayed in the bottom of the second due to some type of medical condition involving home plate umpire Jerry Crawford.
The Mets just scored a run on a wild pitch and Crawford appeared unsteady after the play at the plate. It did not appear the ball struck him, but after trainers from both teams attended to him, he walked off the field slowly but under his own power and into the Rays dugout.
