Rays release spring schedule

The Rays released their 2011 spring training schedule, which includes 15 games at the Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte and eight in the Tampa Bay area, including a split-squad exhibition with the Netherlands National team at their former Al Lang Field home and a spring finale against the Blue Jays at Tropicana Field.

The Rays will play the Pirates seven times (including their first three games) and the Blue Jays five (including the March 30 game at the Trop). They play the Yankees and Red Sox four times each; the Orioles, Phillies and Twins three times, the Marlins twice and the Astros once.

Ticket information for the games in Port Charlotte also was released, with individual game tickets going on sale in January. The team is currently accepting $50 deposits for spring season tickets, via or by calling 888-FAN-RAYS, with seat selection in January.
