UPDATE, 10:28: Rays lineup, with Vogt getting first start versus Verlander: Jennings cf, Pena 1b, Longoria 3b, Joyce lf, Zobrist rf, Vogt dh, Lobaton c, S-Rod 2b, Brignac ss, Shields p BREAKING: The Rays and Tigers are set for another matinee today, and this one features a marquee matchup of starting pitchers, with Detroit's Justin Verlander, who won the AL Cy Young (and MVP) Award taking on the Rays' James Shields, who was third in the voting.

Also, the sun has been out today, a hint that it may be a bit warmer than Tuesday's game, which started with a first-pitch temperature of 42 and had snow falling during the game.

The Rays are expected to again be without DH Luke Scott, sidelined with a mild strain of his left hamstring.
