Rays vs Red Sox; Burrell back in lineup - Baldelli starts for Sox

Update 5:26 p.m. Not a ton of huge news out of Joe Maddon's pre-game session, other than the equipment bag in the bullpen will definitely be off the ground, a "group effort," following last night's snafu in the eighth.

Maddon said DH Pat Burrell is back in the lineup because he's been looking good in his recent early work, and that right-handed hitters have fared well against Red Sox RHP Brad Penny (which is also why Gabe Kapler is in the lineup too).

Also, today is Carl Crawford's 28th birthday.

The Rays, coming off the exasperating, 13-inning win over the Red Sox earlier this morning, will try for the two-game sweep tonight.

DH Pat Burrell is back in the lineup after not starting the past two games.

And Red Sox OF Rocco Baldelli, a former long-time Ray, will start in rightfield tonight, marking the first time he will play at the Trop as an opposing player.

LHP David Price will start for the Rays, facing the Red Sox for the first time since he picked up the save in Game 7 of the 2008 ALCS.
